How do I record facts and rhymes in my own voice?
Tap the 🎙️ microphone icon at the top of the app to open the Voice Studio. Choose a category, then record each fact one at a time — you can play back, re-record, or skip any fact. Your progress is saved automatically, so you can stop anytime and pick up later.
Why does a fact play in a robotic voice instead of my own?
Any fact you haven't recorded yet is read aloud using your device's built-in text-to-speech voice, so the app always works even before you've finished recording everything. Record that fact in the Voice Studio to replace it with your own voice.
Can I add more than one child?
Yes. Tap the 👤 icon to add additional children. Each child gets their own name and star progress, and you can switch between them anytime.
What's included for free, and what requires payment?
The Animals and Ocean categories are free to explore in full. A single one-time payment unlocks all remaining categories plus Rhymes — there is no subscription and nothing else to pay, ever.
I already purchased the unlock but it's not showing on a new device — what do I do?
Open the unlock screen and tap Restore previous purchase. This restores your purchase using your Apple ID or Google account, at no extra cost.
Is my child's data safe?
Yes. GiggleNest works entirely offline. No account or login is required, nothing is ever uploaded to a server, and we have no access to any recordings, names, or usage data at any time.
Can I record my own rhymes or songs, not just the built-in ones?
Yes. In the Rhymes category, tap "➕ Add your own" to name and record as many verses as you like — it'll appear alongside the built-in rhymes.
